Manish Paul rubbishes claims that he pis**d off Bollywood biggies with his anchoring jabs at a recent event

Manish Paul
It seems that lady luck is not shining on well-known TV anchor (Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa) and actor Manish Paul, of late. For after the debacle of his debut film Mickey Virus, this good looking dude also seems to be slipping on his niche i.e. anchoring as well. According to sources who were present at last night’s Filmfare awards nomination party, Manish’s apparent attempts (he was anchoring the event) to promote himself and his above film which was also nominated did not go down well with the many B Town biggies who were present, namely Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor and Arjan Bajwa among others. While Manish was talking, at one time Karan Johar (who also judged Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa) asked Manish jokingly to take a break so that they all can watch Manish Malhotra’s fashion show which was next on the cards. He also in fun nixed Manish’s attempts to get Deepika Padukone on stage. The fact that a newcomer was taking open digs at Shahid Kapoor’s inability to reach the 100 crore club (he said Shahid crossed the hundred crore club only by the collections of his twenty films put together) or the failure of Ajay Devgn’s Himmatwala did not amuse the filmy crowd who went on to say that he did not know where to draw the line. And this was apparently one of Manish’s bad anchoring outings. However when we spoke to Manish, he dismissed such talks as pure speculation. “All rubbish. After the event, many people came forward and said they enjoyed my act. As for me promoting Mickey Virus, I took the maximum digs at my own film.” “I also don’t not think that I upset any A- lister, we all know that our industry is one family and we love to pull each other’s legs. Karan Sir and I have this great banter. If some people were upset it could be because the event started two hours late and hence people might have found it bit lengthy.” Manish, hota hain kabhi kabhi!!!
