When celebrated author Paulo Coelho called American Hustle boring on Twitter, our very own Anupam Kher could hardly digest the comment.
Paulo Coelho while tweeting an article published in a tabloid calling the movie ‘Overrated, added the word ‘boring’ along with his tweet which apparently didn't go down well with Anupam who immediately remarked – ‘What an arrogant and overrated statement’.
The tweet elicited an immediate response from the cerebral Paulo who said- “Not arrogant. Or shall I always hide what do I feel? People are also free to express their thoughts on my book.”
This started a thread of responses where both Anupam and Paulo chose to clarify each other's stand.
Anupam (in response to Paulo's earlier comment) – “That is exactly what I did. Put my thought to your thought. You found American Hustle boring and I found your comment arrogant.”
Paulo – “You commented in a comment. Not the same. But please feel free to comment comments.”
Anupam – “You are one of the first persons I followed on Twitter. And will continue to do so happily. Sorry if I offended you.”
Paulo- “You didn't offend me. We just have different opinions. May you have a nice evening.”
Anupam- “Thank you. Have a happy day.”
Phew...now that was quite a discussion. Finally, all's well that ends well. But we wonder why Anupam found Paulo's innocuous 'boring' comment…arrogant. Thank God Paulo did not call Sholay boring, or else you never know how badly it would have affected Anupam.
