Sameer Sharma kicked to feature in Karan Johar’s movie Hasee Toh Phasee

Talented TV actor Sameer Sharma who is currently doing Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir on Star Plus has a small cameo appearance in the Karan Johar produced film Hasee Toh Phasee. “I play Abhay the elder brother of Nikhil (Siddharth Malhotra). The setting of the film is a family wedding and we come from the boy’s side. Abhay is a lazy guy who makes everyone else do the work. Nikhil and my father (Sharat Saxena) is an IPS officer while I work in the IAS. Nikhil on the other hand is a rebel who wants to do business. ” Sameer who has done other TV shows such as Dil Kya Chahta Hai and Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki admits that he does not have much to do in the above film. “It is an ensemble cast with many characters (Neena Kulkarni, Manoj Joshi etc). The only reason I took up this project was because I wanted to try out something different, and also the director Vinil Mathew is a childhood friend.” In closing Sameer adds, “I also have one film up my sleeve which will release next month.” We wish you luck, Sameer.
