India
To appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been the wish list of all internationally acclaimed stars. Now the show will see 8-yr-old India’s Got Talent (Colors) Semi-Finalist Akshat Singh making an appearance. The show, which boasts of being the biggest talk show featuring world’s famous celebrities from the likes of Meryl Streep to President Barrack Obama, will now feature Akshat Singh as the first non-celebrity Indian who has created waves on the international entertainment circuit. Akshat Singh, who created waves on the first episode of India’s Got Talent, and now a semi-finalist, has received the super-exclusive invite to be a part of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the opening episode of India’s Got Talent, Akshat Singh was seen shaking a leg to Salman Khan’s popular song ‘Mera Hi Jalwa’ – a performance which soon became viral and has received millions of hits online. Speaking about his son’s achievement, proud father Abhay Singh said, “I first noticed a spark and attraction towards dance in Akshat when he was 4 years old. But because he was overweight, people used to laugh at him. However, he took it with a pinch of salt and decided to prove everyone wrong. I was shell-shocked when we were informed that Akshat will be seen on a show like The Ellen DeGeneres Show. I am really humbled by the opportunity that India’s Got Talent has provided Akshat with which has put his talent on this global platform. We are all extremely proud of him.” Young Akshat Singh shot for his sequence in USA yesterday (12 February, 2014). We congratulate the young chap!!!
