Ssharad Malhotra
The very good looking Ssharad Malhotra who wowed viewers with his first show Banoo Main Teri Dulhan and then followed by a Bollywood film, From Sydney with Love is also a cricket fanatic. The actor who is playing for Babu Moshaye team in the upcoming Box Cricket League and also won the Man of the Match in the first match that their team also managed to win speaks to Tellychakkar.com about his love for the game. “Having played in my school and college days for inter-school and college competitions, I am completely in love with the game. Also not many know that I have been part of matches by Cricket Association of Bengal. And after almost ten years I am taking up the cricket bat once again. Cricket being my first love, I am actually feeling really great,” avers the good looking guy. Being from Kolkata, a football loving city, has he been interested in that too? “Completely! I enjoy watching and playing both football and cricket. But mostly cricket takes my entire attention (smiles). Actually if not an actor, I would have died to become a cricketer,” shares Ssharad. Talking about becoming a cricketer, we asked Ssharad what does he think about sports as a career in India. “Nowadays Indians are doing a lot of promotions for sports. So I feel there is a good scope to make a career in sports. But added to that, if someone really wants to make a career in sports, the individual should definitely be an all-rounder,” he answers. The actor who has been missing from the screen for quite long also answers our query on his comeback. “I really don’t have any idea when I am coming back on television, as for films I am waiting for some interesting films which would entertain audiences.” Being part of India’s first web film produced by Pankaj Dheer and Essel Vision also starring Kratika Sengar, an excited Ssharad avers, “The film is all about a struggling actor and writer. It’s a beautiful story about how youth struggles in their life; it’s actually a feel good movie with some amazing humour. Today’s youth prefer spending time with their laptops and smart phones and I feel web films actually have a great future.” “Pankaj is someone I have grown up watching and to have him direct us was quite a learning experience. He is an intelligent man and will be one of the most talented directors in the future. As for Kratika, it’s the first time I am working with her and we share a friendly relationship. She is quite focused in her work and I am really happy that she will soon tie the knot,” quips Ssharad about his team. With news of him and Divyanka (Tripathi) going strong, confirmed by their numerous outings together, we wondered when is he planning to tie the knot. “I plan to settle down soon, but can’t really tell you when. But whenever I do decide to get married, the whole world will surely get to know about it,” concludes the actor with a dimpled smile. We will definitely be waiting for that.
