One should dare to dream and take risks to achieve what they want - Nikhil Sachdeva, Winner MTV Roadies X1

Nikhil Sachdeva, Winner MTV Roadies X1
After a disastrous audition last year, an over-weight Nikhil Sachdeva worked on his body and attitude only to win the coveted title of MTV Roadies X1- Ride For Respect after defeating Utkarsh Khanna, who gave a close competition in the finale. In conversation with the handsome man, Nikhil talked about his journey and experience on the show. Said Nikhil, “All I can say is ‘finally!’. Finally my dream has come true. The journey was not easy at all and I faced a lot of competition particularly from Siddharth Krishna because of his physical strength and Ajay Sehrawat due to him being mentally strong and focused. I initially never considered Utkarsh Khanna a competition but now I feel that one should not underestimate anyone as your competitors can become a threat at any given point of time.” Furthermore, Nikhil put some light on him winning the last task and bagging the coveted title where he had to free himself from a moving tractor to retrieve a flag and the seven markers from a raft attached at the back of the tractor. Nikhil gave credit to host Ranvijay who stood by him as a pillar during the task. He stated, “I do not think either Utkarsh or me would have been able to pull off the stunt if Ranvijay had not motivated us. Personally speaking, I was dragged nearly 20 to 30 kilometers by the tractor and was left with injured shoulders and hands. But during my second chance to outdo Utkarsh, Ranvijay motivated me and ran with me which gave a boost to my performance. The man is a legend in himself and an inspiration to many." “This is the only show which takes the x-factor out of a common man and helps him transform himself for the better. I would like to tell people that they should dare to dream and take risks to achieve what they want, instead of whining about how it may never happen,” he added. Now that Nikhil has won the title, what next? “Well, I have received some offers from television but I am not too keen on that as I cannot see myself doing daily soaps. I would only take it up if the roles are challenging and unique. I am keen on trying my luck in films. Apart from that I have a tattoo studio in Delhi and I plan to start the same in Mumbai at Lokhandwala (Andheri).” Way to go, Nikhil!!!
