Trust your wife and she will sort out your life: Sameer Dharmadhikari

Sameer Dharmadhikari
For all men who think wives are only pro at spending their husband’s hard earned money, here is one very smart and intelligent husband who presents an entire new perspective! The very good looking and versatile Sameer Dharmadhikari entertained the masses with his ingenious style and raw acting talent. He has been a part of leading television soap operas like NDTV Imagine’s Main Teri Parchaayi Hoon, Zee TV’s Jhansi ki Raani and Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and was last seen as Maharaja Shantanu on Star Plus’ Mahabharat. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, he gives out some interesting tips about investments and striking a work-life balance. Take a look. How important is money to you? Money is equally important to other things in life. But I do believe there are some things that money cannot buy like love, friendship, trust and so on. But it is definitely important. Are you an impulsive buyer? Yes, I firmly believe that I am an impulsive buyer. When I see something and it is extraordinary and exactly what I need, I buy it. What are the investments that you have made? I believe the greatest of all my investments is my family. And the investment and finance department of my house is handled by my beautiful wife. So she would be the right person to answer this (laughs). What has been your most expensive purchase? My most expensive buy was a leather jacket and I clearly recall it costs me Rs.1150. You would say how can you call it expensive? But then to be precise my salary was just Rs.1200 then! So yes it will always be my most expensive buy. Do you feel financially secure? I personally feel all my needs and demands are fulfilled with what I earn. I’m blessed and therefore I can definitely say I feel financially secure. Who handles your expenses? Usually I take care of my own expenses. But when it comes to finance and investments to be made, my wife does the needful. What was your first salary? I was working as a trainee for Consolidated Hoists Pvt Ltd in Pune since I was an engineering student. My first salary was Rs. 1050. How much money do you carry every day? See it all depends if I am at home or working. When I am working I usually spend on fuel and food. So, on an average I carry Rs 500-Rs 1000 every day. Your advice to new investors? Trust your wife and she will sort out your life (Laughs). I am not a ‘finance’ kind of a person also because it was never one of my subjects. But I think wives know the best. So just trust your wife and let her handle your expenses.
