She further explained the concerning absence of professional support, saying: “Despite a fellow passenger helping me back to my seat, I received no follow-up care or even a single check-in from your crew. I’ve tried contacting your customer service with no response. This level of neglect is unacceptable. Please address this matter urgently.”
In response, Etihad Airways publicly acknowledged her post and requested she connect via direct message for further assistance.
The airline wrote on X: “Hi Neelam. Sorry to hear about that! Please get in touch with us via DM to look into this for you and assist accordingly. Thanks! Rose.”
Neelam also addressed a dismissive comment from a social media user who trivialised her experience, responding: “You wouldn’t be so flippant had it happened to you my friend, or one of your loved ones!”
Neelam Kothari rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s, appearing in over 30 films, including the family hit Hum Saath Saath Hain.
She stepped away from acting in the late 1990s to focus on her thriving jewellery business and has recently made a return to the spotlight, appearing on the reality series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives and an episode of Made in Heaven.
Neelam Kothari’s public account of the incident serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of prompt and professional passenger care during in-flight medical emergencies.
