Kannan Arunachalam and Rajesh Puri in Zee TV's Bandhan

Yesterday, Tellychakkar.com reported about Casting Director Sanjay Tyagi essaying a prominent role in Swastik Pictures’ upcoming show, Bandhan on Zee TV. The unique concept which will depict the bonding between an elephant and a 10 year old girl will hit screens sometime in August. We now hear that the show will have two noted actors playing significant roles. Kannan Arunachalam, who was last seen essaying the father of Sultan in Colors’ Madhubala, will have an important cameo to enact. A source states, “Kannan will be seen in the initial 7-8 episodes. His character will be killed brutally by the negative leads on the show, Sudesh Berry and his younger brother Anirudh Dave. The man’s death will have a crucial crux in the story ahead.” Seasoned actor Rajesh Puri, popularly known as Lalloo of Humlog, has also been roped in for the show. The source further explains, “Rajesh Puri will play the role of the Lala in the village- a big time miser. He will have a oanga with the little girl and her elephant, as per the story line.” When contacted, Kannan who has done prominent roles in shows like Shobha Somnath Ki, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo and Na Aana Is Desh Laado said, “Yes, I have shot for my cameo role in Bandhan. All I can say is that I will be seen in the first few episodes.” Rajesh Puri, who is also seen as the Public Prosecutor in Sony TV’s Adaalat, said, “Yes, I have a prominent role in the Zee TV show.
