MUMBAI: Amala Paul, a well-known South Indian actress, shocked everyone by announcing her pregnancy after marrying her longtime partner Jagat Desai last month. Amala is expecting, and on their first anniversary, the pair is pleased to share the good news. For those who don't know, during Amala's birthday trip, Jagat proposed to her. It was an incredible moment that will always be cherished by their millions of followers.

Amala shared photos of her and her husband Jagat on Instagram on January 3, 2023. The first picture was edited, wherein Jagat's heart had Amala's photo, while she cradled her baby bump. Amala looked stunning as she posed on the beach while wearing a red-toned co-ord outfit. Another picture shows Amala and Jagat holding the former's growing baby bump. Moreover, Amala penned"Now I know that 1+1 is 3 with you!"

On November 5, 2023, Amala and Jagat were married in a romantic ceremony in Kochi. Amala looked stunning for the wedding, wearing a purple lehenga with lots of decorations all over it. She looked like a princess, and the dress gave off mermaid vibes. However, Jagat chose a matching lavender-colored sherwani.

Speaking on Amala's past, she revealed that while working on the movie Deiva Thirumagal, she fell in love with the director, AL Vijay. In 2014, they got married in Chennai.

However, after going through a difficult period in their relationship, they filed for divorce in 2016 and were given one in 2017. There were rumors that Amala and her in-laws disagreed about her going on to do more roles in the movies.
