MUMBAI: Many well-known Kannada leaders have fallen afoul of the law for staying out late to party in Bengaluru. Media reports state that a formal complaint has been filed against the celebrities and the business owner of the bar where the stars were partying beyond the hour of closing. They were celebrating the success of Darshan's most recent movie, Kaatera.

The Kannada actors Darshan, Dhananjaya, Abhishek Ambareesh, and producer Rockline Venkatesh have received notices from the police. The celebrities are invited to attend for the sake of investigation.

For the sake of the significant event in January, the cast and producer got together at Rajaji Nagar, Bengaluru's Jetlag Bar and Grill Pub. Even though the pub closes at one in the morning, the party went on until then.

In an article published by the popular news portal, the North Division Deputy Commissioner of Police stated, "Subramanya Nagara police station is serving notice to people present in the Jetlag pub asking them to appear for investigation."

On social media, a photo of the celebrities chopping cakes and chatting with one another has also surfaced. The actors haven't responded to the FIR yet, though.

In December 2023, the Kannada action drama Kaatera was released. Rockline Venkatesh produced the movie, which was directed by Tharun Sudhir. Darshan, debutante Aradhana Ram, and Jagapathi Babu are in the movie. V. Harikrishna is the composer of the movie's soundtrack. Within ten days of its premiere, the movie reportedly made over Rs 56.15 crore in India, according to media reports.
