Kannada actor Darshan arrested along with 10 others for the murder of Renuka Swamy for sending obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda

MUMBAI: On Tuesday, June 11, popular Kannada actor Darshan, popularly known as "Rowdy of Sandalwood," was taken into custody in relation to a murder case. Media sources state that Darshan was detained in Myrusu in relation to the death of Renuka Swamy, who was accused of sending actress Pavithra Gowda offensive texts.

According to a number of media sources, Darshan was taken into custody from a Mysuru farmhouse. Renuka Swamy, a Karnataka native who lives in Chitradurga, was accused of sending pornographic texts to actress Pavithra Gowda. Darshan and Pavithra are reportedly close, and they are apparently having an affair. It has been alleged that she made offensive and improper comments beneath her social media posts.

Renuka was allegedly murdered on June 8; her body was discovered on June 9. Police initially thought she had committed herself, but further inquiry showed that she had been killed.

According to reports, authorities conducted an investigation and discovered that Darshan's instructions led to Renuka's death. According to a number of stories, Renuka was also shot and died in front of Darshan after being struck by gunfire at Vinay, Darshan's close aide,'s Rajarajeshwari Nagar garage. Then someone threw her body down a drain.

Ten other individuals, including Darshan, were also detained when a police complaint was filed against them. Darshan was reportedly in Mysuru for the filming of his next project, which is called The Devil.

Thoogudeepa Srinivas, a seasoned Kannada actor, is the father of Darshan. He debuted as an actor in Majestic in 2001. He has appeared in numerous films, including Tarak, Nagarahavu, Inspector Vikram, Chakravarthy, Garadi, Kranti, Roberrt, and Kaatera.
