MUMBAI: Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable at both the Indian and global box office. The movie, which is inspired by the epic Hindu mythology - Mahabharat - is raging towards the magical milestone. After its second weekend at the global box office, the movie minted over Rs 900 crore.
Deepika Padukone, who is currently basking in massive appreciation for her role in the historic hit ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, has now earned the admiration of Mahesh Babu, joining the chorus of many others from across industries. Mahesh Babu praises Kalki 2898AD sying it “blew my mind away” and also, calls Deepika Padukone “amazing as always”.

While Deepika is being hailed as the ‘soul of the film’, it is one particular scene of the film that has become iconic—the fire scene. This moment, which has rapidly gone viral, features Deepika walking through fire, showcasing her character’s resilience and strength in a manner that has left audiences in awe. Many have taken to social media to hail her as the new “Khaleesi” and “the best thing about the film.” In fact director Nag Ashwin himself refers to the scene as ‘his favourite’ and in a recent interview he gave us the reasons for it.
