MUMBAI :The trailer of Nayanthara starrer Connect has grabbed everyone’s attention. It’s a horror film set against the backdrop of lockdown. The trailer of the film gives a hint that Connect revolves around Nayanthara’s character and her daughter. They are stuck in a house during the lockdown and the daughter performs a séance with someone on a zoom call, and she gets possessed.

Well, of course the film looks interesting and moviegoers are eagerly waiting to see the film on the big screen. However, the premise seems to be very similar to an international film Host which was released in 2020. We are not saying that it’s an exact remake, but even in Host a group of friends, during the lockdown, plan séance on a zoom call and supernatural things start happening with them.

Connect is a Tamil film, but it will be dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi. The Tamil and Telugu versions are going to release on 22nd December 2022, and the Hindi version will release a week after on 30th December 2022.

Nayanthara is a star down South, so one can expect the film to do well in the South. But, it will be interesting to see what response the Hindi version of the movie will get at the box office.

Connect is directed by Ashwin Saravanan who has earlier directed films like Maya and Game Over. Maya also starred Nayanthara in the lead role and it was a super hit at the box office.
