MUMBAI: Anushka Shetty is popularly known for her role in SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ co-starring Prabhas. However, the actress has recently been surfacing headlines not for her movies but for death threats. As per the reports that are making rounds on the internet, Anushka Shetty’s brother Gunaranjan who is a businessman in Karnataka is receiving death threats.

The actress's brother has now requested the local government to provide him with the security as he feels his life is in danger. Gunaranjan has also reportedly written a letter to the Karnataka State Home minister.

Reportedly, Anushka's brother was a close associate of the late don Muthapparai, who used to operate from Mangalore. When he was alive Gunaranjan Shetty and Manvith Rai used to assist him, suggests a report. Over time, Gunaranjan and Manvith Rai got separated due to internal conflicts. And now since Anushka’s brother Gunaranjan Shetty is actively involved in politics and has activities both in Mangalore and Bengaluru, Manvith reportedly wants to get rid of Gunaranjan and hence has reportedly sketched a plan to kill him.

While Anushka’s brother has asked for protection, Manvith Rai on the other hand has reportedly denied all the allegations put on him and further claimed that he has nothing to do with Shetty and has no criminal records so far.

Anushka Shetty was last seen in a bilingual film ‘Nishabdham’ in 2020 and is currently busy filming for yet to be titled Naveen Polishetty film.
