MUMBAI : On May 7, Allu Arjun, director Sukumar, and the entire "Arya" crew honored the film's 20 years of release in an event in Hyderabad. The Pushpa actor referred to 'Arya' as his 'single biggest jump' in his career while speaking at the event. He declared that "Arya" was the best movie ever and that no other movie could ever make him feel as good as it did. Then he expressed his gratitude to director Sukumar for giving him the lead role in the movie.

Allu Arjun said at the event, "If I had to use a metaphor to explain what 'Arya' means to me, I'd call it the single biggest jump in my life ever. I was at - 100. I didn't start at zero. I started 'Gangotri' at zero. Despite the film being successful, I couldn't make a mark. It was my mistake. From - 100, I went to + 100. That 200 per cent jump, I couldn't top it in my life ever, and it won't come [in future]. Many more hits can come and go, but it is the biggest jump, and it will always be."

He then showered praise on Sukumar for creating maximum impact in his life. The two are working on 'Pushpa: The Rule' currently.

He said, "I didn't talk about Sukumar as of now because I'd get emotional and wouldn't know where to begin. I like to keep it simple and make only simple statements, so you get the gravity of the rest of it. People are intelligent and they will get it. If there's one person in my life who has changed it the most and had the maximum impact, it is none other than Sukumar."

The 'Pushpa' actor continued, "I can't even think of a person who is even remotely close. My life changed after my association with him. I was like a train engine and I didn't know what to do. 'Arya' was a film that laid the tracks to my engine. Whether I go fast or slow, it's my personal journey and struggle. But, 'Arya' was the film that laid the track for me. There are no two things about it."

'Arya,' a romantic action comedy written and directed by Sukumar, features Allu Arjun in the titular role. Siva Balaji and Anu Mehta both had significant roles in the movie.

Allu Arjun received a major boost to his career from the romantic comedy, which was also remade in Tamil as 'Kutty' starring Dhanush and Shriya Saran.
