RIP! Odia actress Ruchismita Guru found dead in her maternal uncle's house in Balangir's Sudapada, cops suspect suicide

She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the room and cops suspect that it might be a case of suicide.

MUMBAI: Odia actress Ruchismita Guru, was found dead in Balangir's Sudapada, where she was living in her maternal uncle’s house. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the room and cops suspect that it might be a case of suicide.

Guru’s father said that she was suffering from depression. Guru had reportedly also ungone treatment for her depression previously in a private hospital in Bhubaneshwar. The actress reportedly missed out on important acting projects due to her depression. 

Her mother said that Ruchismita had attempted suicide even in the past. Before she was found dead in the room, her mother said she had a fight with her regarding preparing Aloo Paratha for dinner. 

Guru was at her maternal uncle’s place when the incident took place. While her family was outside for a cultural event, she hung herself in the room with a saree. Her family came in at 5p.m and found her dead.
