RRR has turned about to become one of the most successful movies of all time and was praised globally by celebrities and fans of the film and the star cast and SS Rajamouli’s marvelous creation that is the film.
Now, RRR’s Oscar campaign was launched last Friday with a big screening at Los Angeles’s Chinese Theatre. The categories where the nominations were submitted are Best Picture (DVV Dannaya), Best Director (Rajamouli), Best Actor (Jr NTR and Ram Charan), Screenplay, Original Song, Score, Editing, VFX, Cinematography amongst others.
Naatu Naatu is submitted for the Best Original Category and Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will compete in the Best Actress Category and Best Supporting Actor category respectively.
Sharing about the same, Rajamouli’s son S.S, Karthikeya shared a tweet of Los Angeles film Critic Courtney Howard who wrote, “#RRRmovie’s RRRoad to the OscaRRRs being paved as we speak anything like this movie/ adrenaline rush. I sincerely hope Academy members get out there and see this one. #OscaRRRs #RRRfor Oscars”

The last Indian film that made it to the final five in the Best International Feature was Lagaan, Mother India and Salaam Bombay are the only two other Indian movies that made it to the category. The 95th Academy awards are scheduled to happen on March 12, 2023 in Los Angeles (LA).
