MUMBAI:South superstar Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna who was admitted to hospital on Monday after suffering a mild cardiac arrest, passed away today after he succumbed to respiratory issues and multi organ failure. He was 79 years old. The superstar veteran actor who was known for his films like Mosagallaku Mosagadu 1971, PandantiKapuram 1972, Devudu Chesina Manushulu 1973, Alluri Seetharama Raju 1974, among others, was revived after his cardiac arrest but his condition started worsening soon and he passed away today in the early hours of 15th November.

Mahesh Babu has had a very tough 2022 as first his brother Ramesh Babu passed away in January, his mother in September this year and now his father in November.

Veteran actor Krishna has 5 children; two sons; Ramesh Babu and Mahesh Babu, and three daughters; Padmavathi, Manjula and Priyadarshini.  Krishna made his acting debut in 1965 with the film Thene Manasulu and later gained immense fame with the film Gudachari 116.

Krishna won the Padma Bhushan in 2009 and the Filmfare Lifetime achievement Award in 1997. He has more than 350 films to his credit. Fans and industry folks have sent their condolences to Mahesh Babu and his family.

MS Raju wrote, “Cannot believe this...my deepest condolences to the entire family..may your soul rest in peace sir”

Gopichandh Malineni wrote, “Devastated on hearing the news of our Super Star Krishna Garu's Demise.. May his soul rest in peace. Telugu Cinema lost a LEGEND. My Deepest condolences to @urstrulyMahesh garu, family, fans and loved ones.”
