MUMBAI: After the 2019 film Dabangg 3, Salman Khan has not really had a big hit. His film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also did average. SRK got massive hits like Pathaan and Jawan after nearly 4 years. There is one South star that has had not one, two or three but 7 consecutive hits in a row that made more than Rs 200 crores at the box office.

We are talking about none other than Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. His last release Leo has grossed a whopping Rs 490 crore in just 9 days. It has surpassed Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' and Vikram’s 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' as far as box-office collections go. Leo, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Trisha, has so far earned Rs 500 Crores.  

Thalapathy’s professional high began in 2017 with the film Mersal which earned Rs 220 crores, then in 2018 his film Sarkar earned Rs 252 crores. In 2019, Bigil earned a staggering Rs 295 crores while Master that released during Covid-19, earned around Rs 223 crores.
