MUMBAI: Anupamaa is presently ruling our television screens. The show is doing exceptionally well and is topping the weekly BARC ratings. Rupali Ganguly plays the lead role while Gaurav Khanna plays the role of her husband Anuj. These days the track revolves around Anupama going to the US.

Adhya is compelled to live with Megha, a mentally ill individual. She believes that Aadhya is Priya because she lost her daughter Priya. Megha is a crazy person who has an excessive amount of obsession with Aadhya.
She wants her to be in front of her at all times, thus she never lets her leave the house. We see that Megha is also rather violent, and that Anu discovers this. She arranges a meeting with Aadhya for Janmashtami.
When Megha realizes this, she chooses to take Aadhya somewhere else. However, Anu locates her and returns her to Anuj.
We later witnessed how Megha used a knife to stab Anu, and how she was transported to the hospital. Anu was even pronounced dead by the medics, but Anuj's devotion was enough to revive her.
When Anu and Anuj visit Megha, Megha's husband Viren will tell them about her missing daughter Priya. Anu will make an effort to convince Megha that she can't use force to hold Aadhya now that Priya is gone. Megha will request that Anu and Anuj give Aadhya back.
