Earlier we have seen Paritosh denies accepting his mistake at every cost, which made Anupamaa angrier and made her slap him out of the blue. On the other hand, Baa and Baapuji weren't able to believe that both father and son came out to be the same.

Just to hide his misdeeds Paritosh compares his mistake with his father. Vanraj later adds that his marriage with Anupamaa was a contract and condition, but yours was a love marriage and committing this crime even after being in a love marriage is something unacceptable.
