It was previously seen how Preeta and Karan finally talk it out and he realises that she wasn't angry with him because of Sonakshi. She was just trying to hide her feelings from him. Their love gets stronger in the storm and the next morning both come downstairs with smiling faces. Looking at them Sherlyn and Prithvi get shocked. Sherlyn waits for Sarla's entry into the house to create some major dramas.
Sarla comes to Luthra house and demands to talk to Preeta in person before coming to any conclusion. She asks her to pack her bags and leave with her as the relationship has already got spoiled.
In the upcoming episode, Sarla advises Preeta that she should mend her relationship with Karan and asks her to leave his past behind in the books. His present and future only consist of Preeta. Hearing this Karan's tension takes an exit and the latter hugs Sarla maa.
PreeRan promise Sarla that they won't leave each other. When asked about who told her the truth, she points out Sherlyn. Luthras scold Sherlyn for being insensitive towards Preeta's grief.
