MUMBAThe tale revolving around Bapuji and his broken spectacles will continue in SAB TV’s popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Telefilms).
As we know, Bapuji feels severely handicapped without his spectacles and also contracts an eye infection. Thus, Dr Haathi recommends eye drops and an eye mask to rest his eyes. This means that Bapuji needs someone to attend to him all the time and that Jethalal has to skip going to his shop. Jethalal finds himself in awkward situation tending to his father and helping him with routine tasks like wearing his kurta and helping him sip his tea.
Just then, Jethalal receives a call from Bagha reminding him of a pre-scheduled meeting with a big client that they can’t afford to miss. Bapuji asks Jethalal to go and attend the meeting and order a new pair of spectacles for him. Jethalal requests his neighbour Bhide to be by his father's side for a while. Unable to say no, Bhide is caught in an uncomfortable situation and can’t seem to weasel out of it.
Later, Bhide comes home and takes care of Bapuji. However, soon Bapuji receives a call from his friend asking about a birthday gift that he was supposed to purchase for one of their friends. Hence, Bapuji decides to visit a shop along with Bhide to buy a blood pressure machine as a birthday gift.
Bapuji is not even able to manage his daily chores without his spectacles. What will happen when he goes outdoors to buy the gift?
