MUMBAI : Star Plus’Rajjo is immensely loved by the audience. It is produced by Bits and Bots media. The audience seems to like Arjun and Rajjo’s pair on-screen. The plot is about an aspiring athlete from a village and a businessman meeting each other amid a calamity and gradually falling for each other. However, they have to deal with societal boundaries to be together.
Celestie Bairagey plays the titular character. The audience love her in the character and her performance.
But, before Celestie was finalized, there were five actresses who were offered Celestie’s role and they could not take up on the offer for some reason.
Here are the names:
Avneet Kaur:
Avneet Kaur is an Indian actress, dancer and model. She is known for portraying Charumati in Chandra Nandini and Princess Yasmine in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. She did not wish to do television shows, hence refused to be a part of Rajjo.
Ashnoor Kaur
She is best known for her acting in several television serials including Jhansi Ki Rani, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Patiala Babes. In 2018, she made her Bollywood debut with supporting roles in Sanju and Manmarziyaan. She was offered the role but the makers did not see her fit the role.
Roshni Walia
Roshni Walia began her career with television advertisements and firstly acted in television shows Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki. She is also known for her work in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap as Maharani Ajabde and Tara Mane in Tara From Satara on Sony TV. She was offered the role of Rajjo and she even loved it but due to some circumstances, she was not seen fit for the role.
Anushka Sen
Anushka Sen is an Indian television actress and model known for portraying the role of Meher in the children's fantasy show, Baal Veer. She has also played Manikarnika Rao/Rani Lakshmi Bai in the Indian historical drama television series Jhansi Ki Rani. She was offered the role of Rajjo but she did not wish to do television shows at the time so did not take up on the offer.
Jannat Zubair Rahmani
Jannat Zubair Rahmani is an Indian actress who predominantly acts in Hindi-language television shows and films. She is known for portraying Kashi in Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora, Phulwa in Phulwa and Pankti in Tu Aashiqui. She was offered the role but she was busy with other projects and therefore could not be a part of Rajjo.
