With a plot full of drama and humor, Jamai No. 1 follows the unusual journey of Neel Paranjape, a charming and funny character who will change family dynamics in his own unique and vivacious way after becoming the jamai of the Chotwani family.

Previously, Riddhi gets angry at aaji and says that she will not get married to anyone at all. She storms out and Aaji gets tensed hearing her decision. As she leaves, Neel sees Aaji's condition and tries to calm her down but it doesn't help as she starts getting pain in her chest and left hand, eventually getting a heart attack.
Now, Neel stays in hospital while his family leaves from there. When Neel's family waits for a cab, Riddhi's mother sees them from her car and remembers the day when she was slapped by Neel's mother. This makes her so angry that she decides to run her car over Neel's mother but does she get successful in her motives?
