Dev thus talks to Mr. Verma about giving Ayush's legal custody to him and Mr. Verma denies it.

Mr. Verma says that Ayush is the only thing they have and they can't give him to Dev.

Dev is shocked and here Mr. Verma wants Ayush to study with Rohit's name, while here Ishwari wants Ayush to be with them legally as soon as possible.

Dev is troubled and here he makes a fake promise to Ishwari that he will soon turn things right while he himself is troubled.
