We see that Satyavati stops Dev and Amba’s engagement rituals and she wants Dev to choose his happiness and cancel his alliance with Amba which he clearly doesn’t want to get into.
While Amba tries to convince Dev, it falls on deaf ears as Dev does what Satyavati suggested and refused to marry Amba.
Satyavati knew that Dev loves Vidhi and now if reports are to be believed, Amba will be more hostile and vengeful towards Vidhi and set out to destroy her.
