MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is undoubtedly one of the most loved shows on television today.

The show has received accolades for its tight script and the acting prowess of the cast. We thoroughly enjoy watching Jethalal, Daya and the extended cast spread their charm on television. Each episode makes our funny bones tickle, and we can't have enough of watching the show. In fact, all the characters of the show are given equal importance and have interesting characteristic traits which we absolutely admire.

Yet again Gokuldham society members will celebrate Diwali in a unique way. As per plot, the Mahila mandal ventures out for shopping festival essentials. Markets are lit up with shops displaying all kinds of Diwali kandils, lights, sweetmeats and other merchandise. Even the small-time hawkers have put up their locally made clay diyas, garlands and decorative tapestries, among other little Diwali things, along the roadside. However, the civic authorities arrive at the market and ask the roadside vendors to vacate the premises immediately. Seeing their plight, Mahila mandal feels sorry for them and decides to do something for them. Madhavi comes up with the idea of letting these hawkers to temporarily set up shop in Gokuldhaam Society and puts forth her plan to the rest of the Mahila mandal. With their agreement, she invites the vendors to the Society and assures them Gokuldhaam Society’s full support.

When other members of society learn about it, they get happy and decide to support the Mahila mandal. In fact, they decide to inaugurate the mela by making a Mahila mandal cut the ribbon at the society's main gate.

However, on the day of inauguration Jethalal slips his leg and by mistake falls on the ribbon and accidently inaugurates the mela.
