MUMBAI : The audience currently enjoys watching Sumedh Mudgalkar as Paundrak in Star Bharat’s RadhaKrishn.
The story will now introduce a fresh track of Jarasandh and Shishupal against Krishn. Vinit Kakar plays the character of Shishupal in the show.
According to ancient mythology, Jarasandh was a mortal enemy of Krishna. Before the Rajasuya Yaga, Krishna suggested to Yudhishthira to defeat Jarasandha and free the captives. Krishna, Arjuna and Bhima travelled to Magadha and Bhima killed him in a hand-to-hand fight which took nearly a month of fighting.
Well, after defeating him, Shishupal accepted Yudhishthira's supremacy and was invited to the final ceremony at Indraprastha.
At that event, the Pandavas decided that Krishna would be the special honored guest of the sacrificial ceremony. This angered Shishupala and he started insulting Krishna, calling him a mere cow herd and worthless to be honored as a king. He also started insulting Bhishma, calling his vow to remain a celibate throughout life as an act of cowardice. Bhishma became furious and threatened Shishupala, but Krishna calmed him down. Through this act, he committed his 100th sin and was pardoned by Krishna.
When he insulted Krishna again, he committed his 101st sin. Krishna then released his Sudarshana Chakra on Shishupala, killing him on the spot. Shishupala's soul was liberated and attained salvation by merging into Krishna's body.
This will be yet another interesting track to watch in RadhaKrishn!
