MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Maddam Sir is set to witness a major twist as everyone’s beloved and dabangg Karishma Singh (Yukti Kapoor) quits her role at Mahila Police Thana. The upcoming episodes will not only be shocking for the viewers but equally for every member of the thana, especially for S.H.O Haseena Malik (Gulki Joshi).
In an unexpected turn of events, Haseena and everyone at the thana are shocked as Karishma hands over her two-weeks’ notice. Karishma, while being a dedicated officer had been finding it challenging to maintain work-life balance in her life. She is committed to take up a 9-5 corporate job and spend more time with her family. Haseena on the other hand, is finding it difficult to accept Karishma’s resignation and starts looking for different ways to stop her from leaving.
Meanwhile, Karishma has two greater tasks at hand as she not only has to find a job, but she also has to find her replacement at the thana.
Will Haseena be able to stop Karishma from quitting? Will Karishma be successful in finding her replacement?
Yukti Kapoor, essaying the role of Karishma said, “The upcoming storyline of Maddam Sir has to be one of the most shocking twist of all times. Karishma is quitting her job. When I read the script, I was equally shocked since Karishma is an integral part of the show. Every character in the show makes Maddam Sir so engaging for our audiences. So, my biggest question was, how will Karishma’s resignation work? Even shooting the sequence where she declares her two-week notice was intense for me. I am excited to witness our viewers’ reactions and also for them to watch the twists that are in store for them. So, stay tuned.”
Gulki Joshi, essaying the role of Haseena said, “Karishma and Haseena may have always had their differences, but they are the two sides of one coin. Haseena is completely distraught about Karishma leaving but Haseena will put up a fight to keep her best officer in her team. While Haseena is tackling Karishma’s resignation, Haseena is also going through some challenges of her own, which our viewers will slowly know. For me, shooting these episodes were touching. Yukti and I also discussed our scenes as it is one of the most crucial junctures of the story. I am sure our viewers will feel the emotions that we have felt during the shoot.”
