Actress Kangana Ranaut will be making her debut at the red carpet of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this year.

Ritesh Batra’s The Lunchbox that stars Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nimrat Kaur amongst others will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. This will be in addition to the other films that will be also be premiered at the festival including <em>Monsoon Shootout</em> and <em>Bombay Talkies</em>. The film has been produced by Guneet Monga and Anurag Kashyap of Sikhya Entertainment and Arun Rangachari of DAR Motion Pictures.

Vidya Balan is gung ho with the news that she has been made part of the nine-member jury of the 66th Cannes Film Festival that would be headed by Steven Spielberg. The others who will be part of the prestigious jury are, along with <em>Life of Pi</em> director Ang Lee, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Oscar-winner Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.
