Sophie to bring you the spice from Fame Gurukul on MTV!

MTV's very own Sophiya Choudhary will be hosting <em>Fame Gurukul @ MTV</em>, an outcome of the channel's programming and promotion deal with SET (Sony Entertainment Television). The channel seems to be endeavoring relentlessly to push <em>Fame Gurukul</em>. The show will go on air from the 11th of July on MTV at 9 pm for 15 minutes from Monday to Wednesday and for half-an-hour on Thursday and Friday.

Fame Gurukul: The curtain goes up

It's a show which Sony Entertainment hopes will continue from where <em>Indian Idol</em> ended. And it has been under wraps for quite a while. Today, the happening Hindi entertainment channel gave a peep-show to the press of what audiences can expect from its much awaited song and dance, reality cum soap based show, <em>Fame Gurukul</em>. Seen at the press event were the fourteen short listed contestants, head mistress Ila Arun, musicians and jury members KK and Shankar Mahadevan. Manav Gohil stole the limelight with co-host Mandira Bedi nowhere in sight.

After 'Indian Idol' get set for 'fame jodi'

Looks like Sony doesn't want to give up on the new found success. After the huge hit of <em>Indian Idol</em>, Sony couldn't resist coming up with yet another one. But this time it will be twice the "mazaah". Instead of one <em>Indian Idol</em>, this is a reality show that sets out to find a fame jodi. And it is called <em>Fame Gurukul</em>. Commenting on the launch, Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, SET India Pvt, Ltd, said, "SET has always delivered its promise of providing viewers with path breaking content."

"I cried every night during Fame Gurukul "

A month before he became the cynosure of all eyes on 20 October 2005 as part of Sony's Fame Jodi, Qazi Tauqeer appeared to be someone who was there just to have a good time, not caring much for the final prize on offer. Three months since, it's a different Qazi - mellowed, more mature and....a trifle morose too. What started as a simple chat with Tellychakkar.com's Ananya Sengupta, turned out to be the most moving tete-a-tete thus far, of the young man who made history by claiming the most number of public votes on Indian television. <strong> "I will never do television"</strong>
