"We would like to refute all these rumours and put to rest all speculation about <em>KBC 2</em>. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan will continue as the anchor of <em>KBC 2</em> and we will wait for him to recover completely after which we will shoot fresh episodes," says a press release that was sent out to media houses on 8 December on behalf of Star India.

Harshvardhan Navathe may not be in India to watch the second season of <em>KBC 2</em> that starts tonight, but his parents will definitely be waiting for 9 pm. Vandana Navathe, Harsh's mother, says Harshvardhan is still in Scotland, where he went last year for an MBA and will return only by November. His parents however, say their interest in the show is obviously high this time round. "Of course, our interest in the show last time was clearly higher," she laughs. "Still, we would like to see what's different this time."
