Smriti Irani has a huge fan following. The actress-turned-politician and Union Minister is now grabbing eyeballs for her stunning transformation.

The onscreen mother-daughter duo reunited recently and we wonder if there could be a throwback as major and as good as this one.

SAB TV has found more reasons to smile. The channel which claims to be the only one in the world to screen six comedy shows daily, grew by 300 per cent since it was taken over by Sony. According to SAB Business Head Anooj Kapoor, the channel achieved a 28 per cent growth in TRP and now has a sustained readership.

SAB TV’s Maniben.com has got an extension. Contrary to the rumours of the Smriti Iraani comedy show going off air, it’s in fact done so well for the channel that it’s got a fresh lease of life. A source informs, “<em>Maniben.com</em> has got an extension as the show has picked up now. When it was launched, the show wasn’t doing that well, but it picked up slowly and now their contract has been renewed.”

However, will this turn into a reality remains to be seen as it’s also speculated that after her initial willingness, Smriti has shelved the idea. We called up Smriti but she was busy in meeting. Actor Nitin Vakharia, who was paired opposite Smriti in <em> Maniben.com</em> says, “Smriti Iraani had approached me with this idea but since then I haven’t heard a word from her.”
