Katrina Kaif first mentioned Vicky Kaushal in Koffee With Karan Season 6 and when Karan revealed it to Vicky in the same season he fainted (pretended to) on the couch. In the same year, the couple later met at an award show and things took off smoothly after that.

The upcoming historical drama will be based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The movie will be directed by Laxman Utekar and is going to be a theatrical release on 6th December this year. More actors in the cast include, Divya Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar Singh, Pradeep Singh Rawat.

The actor once revealed that he always had a problem with the Indian Education system and as a child bunked school to make extra cash and worked at a construction site.
