The actor had been suffering from a bout of dengue fever for the past 20 days. However, his ill health did not bog him down. He literally waged a war against his fever keeping count of the number of days he remained out of action.

Then I began looking for work and had to wait for a long time till <em>Kasauti</em> happened. After that I grew as an actor each time I faced the camera.”
