Jignesh Joshi bounces back into action after a bout of dengue fever

Jignesh Joshi, who essays the role of Utkarsh Kaushik in Zee TV’s Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein on Zee TV, is finally back in action after facing a rough weather when it comes to his health. The actor had been suffering from a bout of dengue fever for the past 20 days. However, his ill health did not bog him down. He literally waged a war against his fever keeping count of the number of days he remained out of action. Says Jignesh, “Well, the fever persisted for nearly three weeks, but I did not give up (smiles). I kept myself busy by eating and drinking well. And because of this, I never had a weak feeling. And I am back on my toes again, hale and healthy.” So how did he manage to take an off from his ongoing show Mrs Kaushik? “I was shooting for the initial few days even with fever. Only after 3-4 days, it was diagnosed that I had dengue fever. The production house (Rashmi Sharma Productions) was kind enough to grant me leave. I have to tell that the entire unit of Mrs Kaushik, including the actors and the staff are like one big family. We are always there when a person needs help. And I got a lot of support from my co-actors and unit members. Also, I have my sister living close by and she took care of me.” And how did he kill time for so long a time? “Well, I can give any kind of tips on dengue to people who are diagnosed with its symptoms. I have researched so much about it that I cannot tell you. Thanks to the T20 World Cup, I was kept entertained. I also watched lot of movies.” Moving ahead, Jignesh says, “I have resumed shoot for Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein after a gap of two weeks and it feels good to get busy with work.” That’s the spirit, Jignesh…
