Sa Re Ga Ma Pa: Kartik Aaryan shares an interesting story of his favourite song: Tera Yaar Hoon Main

MUMBAI : Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has kicked off its latest season with a bang and is already receiving an overwhelming response from the audience. With an incredible panel of mentors like Sachin-Jigar, Sachet-Parampara, and Guru Randhawa, and hosts Vipul Roy and Salman Ali, the stage is set for some unforgettable performances. Contestants have been pouring their hearts into their acts, to win the hearts of both, the audience and the mentors. This weekend’s episode is set to be even more exciting with the Bollywood superstars Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan a.k.a Rooh Baba and Monjulika gracing the show.

While all the contestants put their best foot forward and gave some outstanding performances during this episode, it was Rajasthan’s contestant Chetan’s performance to ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ song that left everyone emotional. Moved by Chetan's talent, Kartik couldn’t help but request a performance to his favourite song, ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’. After his performance, Kartik revealed an interesting fact related to the song. He shared how this song was originally shot on a different track but later it was changed to ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’, which fits like a glove to the situation in the film.

Kartik mentioned, “This is the favourite song of my career, and I have many memories associated with it. I was just telling Vidya ma’am, that when we shot for this song, we didn’t shoot it with this one, we shot on a different soundtrack, because it had just got ready. Genuinely this song is really soothing and apt for friendship, the way it has been made, automatically it was fitting in the situation of the film.”

He added, “I still remember receiving a call from Luv sir at 4 a.m., who directed “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.” He told me the line, “Tera Yaar Hoon Main,” and described how the song would be made around these lines. That’s where the journey began. This song reminds me of all my friendships, my college days, and all my friends. Thank you, thank you, Chetan, for the way you’ve made us all emotional and remember our friendships.”
