SAW team spread love amongst children with special needs at Rashid centre, Dubai

Recently in Dubai for the film’s promotion, the Shootout At Wadala (SAW) team took out time to visit the Rashid Centre, set up for children with special needs. His Highness Sheikh Juma Al Maktoum warmly greeted the SAW team that comprised of Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Tusshar, Manoj Bajpai, Sunny Leone, Sophie Choudry, Pakistani crooner Mustafa Zahid and Balaji CEO Tanuj Garg. The children put up a special act for the celebrity guests following which the latter raised a huge sum of money for them by way of a charity auction.

Royal treat awaits Shootout at Wadala team

The makers of Shootout At Wadala (Balaji Motion Pictures and White Feather Films) are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. Certain members of the film's massive ensemble star cast are going to be in for a royal treat when they visit Dubai on Thursday to promote their epic action-drama. Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai, Tusshar, Mustafa Zahid, Sunny Leone and Sophie Choudry are expected to meet His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Censor Board clears Shootout At Wadala with 'A' certificate

Sanjay Gupta can now breathe a sigh of relief. The Censorboard Of Film Certification (CBFC ) has passed <em>Shootout At Wadala</em> (SAW) with an ‘Adults’ certificate, with no visual cuts. However some of dialogues spoken by John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai and Tusshar Kapoor have been asked to be cleaned up. Says a source, “Though Gupta managed to convince the members of the censor board to not tamper with the visuals including the substantial violence, when it came to some of the dialogues the censor board was unrelenting and insisted that the words be changed.”

Shootout at Wadala will now release on 3 May

The release of White Feather Films and Balaji Telefilms’ Shootout at Wadala has been postponed to 3 May (2013). The action crime drama, directed by Sanjay Gupta, is the prequel to 2007 hit film <em>Shootout at Lokhandwala</em> and is based on the book <em>Dongri to Dubai</em>. The film dramatises the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Manya Surve (played by John Abraham) was shot dead at Wadala in 1982.

Just yesterday we had reported that in his zeal to pay an ode to Amitabh Bachchan, Anurag Kashyap has decided to dedicate a song in praise of the veteran actor in his segment of <em>Bombay Talkies</em>. Now we hear that Sanjay Gupta has also paid an ode to the <em>Deewar</em> hero in his own way in his upcoming film <em>Shootout at Wadala</em>.

Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor teamed in Shootout At Wadala

With each passing day, the cast of Shootout At Wadala is getting bigger. The latest is that Jackie Shroff has joined the massive ensemble cast of the film. Jackie <em>dada</em>, who will be seen in a cameo along with Anil Kapoor, plays an ex police commissioner who was reportedly instrumental in the encounter of Manya Surve (played by John Abraham). Incidentally, both the reputed actors starred together in films like <em>Ram Lakhan, Parinda, Lajja</em> among a few others. With this Sanjay Gupta helmed film, the actors re-unite on screen after a gap of twelve years.

There is no reason for Kangana to be upset: Sanjay Gupta

Following the massive launch of Priyanka Chopra's dance track Babli Badmaash and the announcement about the sensational Sunny Leone playing a walk-on part in a song sequence ('<em>Laila</em>') there were reports to suggest that Kangana Ranaut was miffed at being kept out of the film's publicity.
