In the biggest recognition till date for television's most influential show, Star India CEO Uday Shankar and screen idol Aamir Khan will be honored by the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Government of India, on 18 October in recognition of their efforts to create awareness against social discrimination through `Satyamev Jayate.'
The commission will felicitate Uday Shankar and Aanir at an award function being organized to mark the International Valmiki Day in New Delhi.

Aamir Khan’s show <em>Satyamev Jayate </em> is so wide and intense that broadcaster Star India is now looking at other stars with a level of commitment to bring in similar gravitas to traditional television entertainment.
Post Satyamev Jayate Star Plus has been seriously exploring Bollywood’s A-lister’s penchant for activism.Alas, the stars we hear , have the will to fit the bill. But when it comes to the crunch they cannot go for the kill.

Star India, that had picked up Endemol's quiz format Heartbeat last year, is ready to launch its desi version by the end of this quarter.
<em>Kaun Banega Crorepati</em> producers Synergy Communications, will create the show, tentatively titled <em>Heart Attack</em>, for Star Plus.
The show promises to exceed all the nail biting tension that quiz shows have provided thus far on Indian television - contestants' pulse rate as they answer questions will decide the ultimate winner!
