TAM Ratings for Week 37 (9- 15 September 2012) -Colors and Sony tie for third position

We will begin by wishing everyone a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Yes, today is the day of festivity but everyone pertaining to the television industry is anxiously waiting for the TAM ratings of the week 37. Here you go... Star Plus is back on the number one position with 250 GRPs. Zee, which saw a spike and bagged the number one slot on week 36 is at number two position this week with 240. Here, it is necessary to mention that Star Plus surged ahead not because it earned extra GRPs (week 36 also has 250 points), but Zee saw a slump in numbers (251 in week 36).

TAM Ratings for Week 35 (26 August - 1 September 2012)

Today is Wednesday and we are back with TAM Ratings for week 35. Star Plus maintains its numero uno position with 265 GRPs while Colors is still perched on the number two spot (244 GRPs). The third and fourth positions are taken by Zee TV (227) and Sony Entertainment Television (210) respectively.

DID L’il Masters “steps it up” on TRPs

If television in today’s time is all about the number game, then Zee TV’s dance reality show DID L’il Masters wins the contest hands down. The show scored an all-season high with a phenomenal rating of 7.5 TVR in week 32’12. This makes it the highest rated television episode across all Hindi GECs in the year 2012. The episode scooped up an even higher rating of 7.7 TVR across digital households in the HSM. (Mumbai viewership for the episode scaled a whopping 11.6 TVR.

TAM Ratings for Week 27 (1 to 7 July 2012) – Zee TV takes number 2 spot

We are back again to give our readers a quick glance at the TAM ratings for Week 27 2012. Star Plus continues to dominate the GRP charts with a whopping margin with 298 GRP. Coming to the #2 spot, well there is a big change!! Zee TV overtakes Colors with a GRP of 238, while Colors takes the 3rd spot with 225 (last week’s GRP read 233). Sony is placed at #4 with 207 GRP.

Folks...here’s the TAM ratings for week 22 (27 May to 2 June 2012). Like always, Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) is the number one show across GECs with 5.1 TVR. Madhubala opens with highest rating for a fiction show in 2012

Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, produced by Nautanki Telefilms for Colors has opened up to a good response. As per the first week average ratings, the show has managed to achieve the highest opening of any fiction show in the year 2012 with a TVR of 2.8. The Friday episode in which the veteran actor AK Hangal appeared scored a TVR of 3.0 wherein it beat the launch episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s popular singing reality show Indian Idol which scored only 2.1.

TRPs for week 21 (23 to 29 May 2012)

TRPs for week 21 are out. Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) is impressively perched on top of the TRP ladder with whooping 5.5 points (4.9). The second rank has been earned by Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hain with 3.8 TVR (3.9) and Colors’ Balika Vadhu 3.7 (4.2) has bagged the third position.

IPL takes a toll...GECs tumble down in numbers

IPL season 5 is in its full swing and in a country where cricket is considered to be religion, millions are thoroughly enjoying the contest between bat and ball.
