Friends......no more!

Another relation in tellywood bites the dust! We are talking about the Vishal Vatwani and Kanika Maheshwari from <em>Viraasat</em> (Star Plus), who are no longer on talking terms with each other. Besides the fact they shared a very good on screen chemistry, these budding actors were good pals even in real life since the past four years. But as the saying goes 'an overdose of anything good can be bad', now their friendly equation has turned sour.

Amarr Upadhyay turns cop in CID

Amarr Upadhyay finally has another show in his kitty! He will soon join the <em>CID</em> team as an officer on special duty. The episodes will be aired in May. "Amarr's name was in my mind for sometime. We wanted to cast someone who's not been lately over exposed. Since his show, Viraasat is yet to come he was a good option. Moreover, he's become thinner and he's tall and looking fresh now," says supervising producer, <em>CID</em>, Yash Patnaik , who's made it a habit now to spring surprises as far as casting is concerned.

Kanika Maheshwari in Viraasat

Kanika Maheshwari will soon be seen matching her histrionics skills with the likes of Rohit Roy, Kiran Kumar and Amarr Upadhay in Ravi Chopra's <em>Viraasat</em>. Kanika who plays Amy in Star One's <em>India Calling</em> will play Juhi who is the grand-daughter of Raman Lamba (Kiran Kumar) who is the family patriarch. "The character has shades of grey...she reacts to different situations differently," says Kanika, who seems very excited about being part of such a huge show.

Pawan Shankar says no to Viraasat

It must have been a tough decision! To say no to a big banner and to do so when one is just one show old! But Pawan '<em>Siddhanth</em>' Shankar is not regretting his decision. Pawan just declined an offer that has Amar Upadhyay excited and Aman elated! Aman Verma will now play the character that was originally offered to Pawan in Ravi Chopra's star studded <em>Viraasat</em> to be aired on Star Plus. "I declined it because it was a negative character and I didn't want to do such a black role at this point in my career. I had told them this about 20-25 days ago," says Pawan.
