Gang of Girls on Zoom

Have you ever seen a reality show without judges or public voting? Zoom is soon going to launch a new reality show 'Gang of Girls, Spotlight Mein' that'll present four talented girls from around the country with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The show commences from today at 8.00 p.m. The four lucky girls- Ambili Gopakumar, Danielle Rebello (Mumbai), Supriya Joshi (Aligarh) and Abhinanda Sarkar (Kolkata) were different from the league with an 'X' factor. They have good voice, right looks and killer attitudes to set the stage on fire.

Let the Dating Games Begin!

2006 saw Zoom and Close-Up (the dental consumer product company) joining hands for a dating show, and as the sponsor changed this year, the name and the segments of the concept also took a different shape, "It was not looked as a youth centric show, it was basically for the large single population. However as we see from the regional rounds, it looks like it has taken up well with the younger crowd," replies Anand cheerfully.

Zoom's glitzy Holi bash!

Lifestyle channel Zoom had its annual rendezvous with celebrities at its rocking Holi party. Held on the lawns of the Juhu Hotel in north Mumbai, saw a fair number of celebrities and TV stars trooping in even as the OB vans lined up at the BigB's bungalow 300 metres down the road. There was plenty of colour, limitless beer, whisky, bhang, water and water guns, and of course a lot music, and a rain dance. Astrologers, body artists, hair oil massagers, gave a different element to the day long bash which commenced at 11:00 am.

Kosmiic Chat second season sans celebs

Ekta Kapoor's astro-chat show on Zoom, <em>Kosmiic Chat</em> is coming back with a second season soon. The popular chat show will have Simone Singh and Sunita Menon hosting the show in their effervescent and elegant style but minus the celeb quotient on the show.

He disappeared from the small screen when Zoom abruptly terminated his one man stand up comic act EK Rahin Vir. But now the US returned Vir Das is back on television, with as many as four shows.

Diwali bonanza on television!

Television channels are gearing up to celebrate Diwali in style! SaharaOne has lined up Bollywood glam dolls Mahima Chaudhury and Koena Mitra, who will make a guest appearance on <em>Dial One Aur Jeeto</em>. This Diwali, Star One will feature special episode of <em>Sarabhai vs Sarabhai</em>, wherein Maya is doing a complete make over of her apartment and in the process Rosesh discovered something that will break his heart.

TGICS adds Rosesh, Vir Das to ensemble

<em>The Great Indian Comedy Show</em> has two new actors joining the ensemble of gagsters on the show -- Rajesh Kumar, better known as Rosesh and Vir Das, who was last seen on Zoom anchoring <em>Ek Rahin Vir</em>. "We are looking at experiments, checking out shorter gags. Rajesh and Vir will be on in two to three weeks," says the show's creative head Sailesh Dave.

Sunita extends her advice to Sony

Sunita Menon, known for her tarot, also very close to the Balaji Camp, thanks to her close relationship with Ekta Kapoor will be seen on Sony's <em>Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai</em> from next week onwards. "Sunita will bump into Angad and will be seen playing herself in the next few episodes. It's a small cameo we've planned for her," says Gursheel Walia, Creative Director.

Rushad Rana enters 'Woh Rehne Wali…' plot

Rushad Rana, the guy who anchors <em>Filmi Fever</em> on Zoom will now be seen as Karan in SaharaOne's <em>Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki</em>. With a boy next door kind of a look, Rushad will play Karan, an NRI, who will fall head over heels in love with Rani, the protagonist of the show, played by Reena Kapoor. Talking about his character in the SaharaOne show, Rushad says, "Karan is a completely positive guy. He meets Rani at a party and falls in love at first sight. He is a strong guy and with encouragement from Rani's sister tries to woo her."
