Dance India Dance has India foot-tapping, records highest viewer rating

Zee TV's big ticket show Dance India Dance opened with a bang - according to TAM, it recorded ratings of 3.9 and 4.9 TVRs on Friday and Saturday last week. It's good news for the show and the channel, considering India was playing a one-day match against Sri Lanka. And so DID proved to be the No.1 Non- Fiction show across all the GECs.

MJ lives on in seven year old Dance India Dance participant

Child prodigy seven year old Gauransh Chauhan from Delhi was determined to make his father’s dream come true. His sole purpose to participate in Zee TV’s <em>Dance India Dance</em> was to meet Mithun Chakravorty or rather make his father meet the veteran disco dancer.And while doing so, the gifted child left the show mentors speechless with his performance.

DID second season on the cards

The runaway success of UTV’s reality show <em>Dance India Dance</em>, has prompted the channel to return with its second season. According to TAM ratings, the finale of the show registered a TRP of 5.4 which ultimately helped Zee pip its rivals to the post.

Choreographers as mentors in Dance India Dance

Zee TV's biggest dance reality show <em> Dance India Dance </em> has the likes of Terence Lewis, Remo D'Souza and Geeta Kapoor performing dual duties. In addition to choosing and training the best talent across the country, these choreographers will also be serving as mentors i.e. judges.

Dostana choreographer in Dance India Dance

Zee TV and UTV’s upcoming reality show <em> Dance India Dance </em> will provide a chance for unheralded choreographers to make their mark. Geeta Kapoor, who for years has assisted noted choreographer Farah Khan, is set to be a part of this show. When contacted, Geeta said, “Yes, I have been offered but I haven’t signed on the dotted line yet. Besides, the TV strike did not make matters easy for us. Allotting dates in such a situation is not easy. Things will emerge clearer now that this impasse has ended.”
