Child prodigy seven year old Gauransh Chauhan from Delhi was determined to make his father’s dream come true. His sole purpose to participate in Zee TV’s Dance India Dance was to meet Mithun Chakravorty or rather make his father meet the veteran disco dancer. And while doing so, the gifted child left the show mentors speechless with his performance. When Gauransh came for the Delhi auditions, mentors Geeta Kapur, Terence Lewis and Remo D’Souza were surprised to see such a small kid participating in a show meant for elders. But once the kid started his MJ act on the evergreen song ‘Dangerous’, the judges were stupefied. Terence could not contain himself and got up from his seat to cheer the kid as he flawlessly aped MJ. The three even bowed their heads. An excited Terence yelled, “Who said MJ is dead? MJ lives in this kid…. Long live MJ.” The masters were so impressed by Gauransh, that they gave him a certificate of ‘excellence’ reinforcing the fact that DID is not only a platform for good dancers but also exceptional dancers. Gauransh was also called to be a part of the Mumbai final auditions, where he finally got an opportunity to perform in front of the grandmaster Mithunda. Mithunda could not believe what he saw. In all his bewilderment he could just say “Ye kya jalwa hai. This is unbelievable.” Gauransh’s dream moment was when Mithunda called his parents on stage and appreciated his father’s efforts. His father said, “It was my dream to meet you, Sir. Today Gauransh has fulfilled it. I’m so thrilled to touch you today.” Well it certainly takes a lot to impress the original disco dancer of India and the tiny Gauransh just managed to do that.
