Recently, on Star Plus’ <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/fans-reach-out-arnav-and-khushi-tellychakkarcom>Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon</a>, the Raizada household were told of Shyam’s (<a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/people-take-abhaas-mehtas-negative-character-too-seriously>Abhaas Mehta</a>) role in kidnapping the family’s favourite beta, Arnav. Many fans have wondered whether Abhaas has been so curt off screen as well.

Abhaas Mehta, who plays the negative character of Shyam in Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, recently, faced the brunt of his on screen act. “People often come up to me and stare blankly, after a minute of silence they will shout at me because of my heavily portrayed negative character. Recently, as Arnav (Barun Sobti) was kidnapped, I have heard so much of negative statements that actually made me ponder over my role.”

Happy birthday Abha Parmar!!! Yes, this lovely lady who is seen as Buaji Madhumati Gupta in Panglosean Entertainment’s <em>Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon</em> (Star Plus) is celebrating her birthday today (11 July 2012). Tellychakkar.com called up Abha to wish her and in response she shared, “It’s an eventful birthday. My sister-in-law and her husband have come down from Canada early in the morning. My daughter and son-in-law gifted me a phone. I also got a voucher to pamper myself at a Thai spa.”

The entire unit had initially decided to party, but the tight schedule of shoot did not allow them to do that. Instead, they managed to make some special arrangement on the sets. The entrance of the studio looked as if a wedding or reception party shoot was going on. Arrangement for cakes and food was also made.

Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, produced by 4 Lions Films and IMRC Entertainment has completed the successful run of one year today (6 June 2012). And in the one year that has gone by, the show and the cast have got quite popular and viewers have been craving for more. And the icing on the cake happened recently when the leads of the show Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti won the Best Jodi Award at the 11th Indian Telly Awards. The cast and crew have planned a cake cutting ceremony on the sets today to celebrate the occasion.

Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani, popularly known as Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi, protagonists of Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? became household names in quick time!! And recently the duo won the Best Jodi Award at the 11th Indian Telly Awards. Barun who is busy shooting for his movie was not present at the awards night and Sanaya received his trophy on his behalf!! Tellychakkar.com caught up with an upbeat Barun who told us, “Yes, it feels great to have got the Best Jodi Award. Sanaya got it home for me, she gave it to me the same night (smiles).”

4 Lions Films after churning out the hit Star Plus series, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, is up for conceptual diversification. The creatives are already kicked about their upcoming venture on Star Plus, a bi-weekly crime thriller christened Emergency Special Force. And guess what? The production house is also working for a social drama on Zee TV.
