MUMBAI: Creative producer of Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, Pearl Grey is very successful in the industry. She has an extremely charismatic and pleasing personality. She’s known for her work and taking difficult decisions in difficult situations.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the boss lady and had a chat about one of her extremely popular yet controversial shows on Colors TV, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. We asked her if the makers were expecting the negative feedback from the audience, and she answered, ‘Of course, I was pretty prepared for the negative feedback, as the story line was a bit unconventional, but we were sure that the show will be well received and that’s how it turned out to be.’

The show faced a lot of ups and downs. Lead actress of Drashti Dhami leaving the show was a major setback. She said, ‘I was totally against Nandini not being a part of the show, but then, she did not want to play a mother and an insecure wife. Thus, she left the show. It was a challenge and a lot of people thought that the show will not survive, but look at the show right now, it’s ruling the digital space.’

We asked her about the shift of the show from a GEC to the digital platform, to which she said, ‘We take it as a positive thing. As it is, the show was number 1 on Voot, and since the change in the platforms, the numbers have doubled and increasing even on weekends. The show is doing extremely well, touch wood. It’s very satisfying.’

Apart from Silsila, Pearl is working on multiple projects on TV. She said, ‘There are a few upcoming projects for TV and some movie projects. Apart from these, I would love to explore other OTT platforms.’
