MUMBAI: Hugh Jackman and his actress wife Deborra-Lee Jackman have announced their separation after 27 years of being married. The duo have two children together. The duo sent a joint statement which read, “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
The couple have said that for them, their family is the highest priority and they have decided to undertake this next chapter in their life with “this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.” Hugh and Deborra met on the sets of an Australian TV show, where the latter was a much more established name in showbiz. The duo married in 1996 and have two children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
Hugh and Deborra have always stunned at the red carpet together, including broadway events and Met Gala as well. In July this year, the couple attended Wimbledon together. Celebrating their 27th anniversary in April, Hugh had posted on his Instagram page, “I love you so much. Together we have created a beautiful family. And life. Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage and loyalty is an incredible gift to me.”
Hugh who is well known for his films like Wolverine, etc is all set to reprise his role in Deadpool 3, the film is currently on hold due to the Actor’s Strike. Deborra is an advocate for Orphans and Adoption, and is also the founding member of National Adoption Awareness Week.
