The beginning of a week brings a host of issues for those at work, it also sets the scene for new and exciting series on television. We are referring to Sony TV’s latest thriller Beyhadh, which is set to heat up our TV screens from tonight (October 11). Laced with twists and acting as the comeback vehicles of two big names of the industry, it’s already a promising fare…we tell you why we can’t wait to tune into it. Read on:

Passionate love story

It’s touted to be a passionate love story between two diametrically opposite people. If Maya (Jennifer Winget) is obsessive and an insomniac, Arjun (Kushal Tandon) is generous and caring. What a pair, eh?

Complex characters

The two lead characters are complex, intertwined with each other, peppered with grey shades, and disconnected from the realm, but have a relatability factor that audiences will sure enjoy watching.

Big comebacks

Jennifer makes a comeback in the lead after almost two years. Post her grand success in Saraswatichandra, Jen is back in a negative avatar in this love story. Kushal, who has been a part of reality shows, will be seen in the lead too. Playing Arjun, he has plenty of frames to show off his acting chops.

Jennifer’s negative role

The demure and sweet leading lady of TV has just gone psychotic! That’s reason enough to watch the series, right? While we have seen her play the quintessential middle class girl on the small screen, it’s the first she serves up a grey-shaded character that can go to any length for her lover.

Interesting. Hatke plot

The plot and treatment are said to be really hatke than what we have seen on TV so far. It’s safe to say that watching the leading lady play a negative shade is something we don’t see every day. Can’t. Wait. For. The. Premiere.

Kushal-Jennifer’s pairing

They are good-looking, they have a crackling chemistry, and look perfect together. Why won’t we catch up with this gorgeous couple? We sure will. Period.

Aneri’s lawyer act

Aneri Vajani will be seen as Saanjh, a lawyer, who’s said to get caught between the pair. Will she ignite Maya’s wrath or become Arjun’s solace? We can’t wait to find out.

The promos have already piqued our curiosity and we can be sure that the episodes will be equally gripping and thrilling. Watch out.

Twists galore

With such an exciting premise, there are bound to be many twists and turns that will keep us hooked to our TV sets.

We are already excited to see a female sociopath on the small screen. It’s been the territory of the boys till now. But all that’s going to change with Maya.
